A Closer View of The Minas Basin (Nova Scotia)

Doug Crowell, President of Kings Historical Society wanders with us on a private beach where the locals gather.

Here we look out onto the Minas Basin with the Canard River nearby.  We’ll begin our search of the lost Montague in this area, in hopes of unveiling the exact location of the wreck.

In 1760, the brigantine struck a sandbar at low tide in the Canard River and was left stranded.
