Las Vegas has become a vastly prominent home to auction venues for antique cars and motorcycles. Head auction house MidAmerica Auctions have just celebrated their 21st Annual Auction January 12-14 2012, for antique motorcycles, held at the South Point Hotel.

MidAmerica, again proudly proceeds to set world record prices on over 80% of the motorcycles sold. Setting the standard of antique motorcycle market with $4,600,000 in sales. A huge success, having sold over 500 bikes, three owned to Steve McQueen. McQueen was a famous actor and avid motorcycle collector. As well as guest appearance Barbara McQueen graced the audience with her presence to share memories of her late husband and signed copies of her book, “Steve McQueen: The Last Mile”.

It was hard to pick a favourite out of the vintage beauties, however a stunning 1915 unrestored Iver Johnson sold for $299, 600! Easy to say bidders and sellers alike agreed Johnson to be one of the worlds best original motorcycles.

As this adventure comes to an end another begins for Innovative… stay tuned for more to come.

Michael Jackson Auction Ends With Higher Fortunes Than Expected

By Ashley MacIntosh

Innovative reporting in Los Angeles, California- To end off an extraordinary week in California with an incredible auction of the contents belonging to the final home of Michael Jackson. No one could have asked for a finer outcome. Items sold estimated nearly $1 million at Julien’s Auctions, triple the amount predicted ($200,000 to $400,000).

With the highlights of the auction underway, it was only natural for Innovative to take the name of our company seriously and in order to portray our innovative image, we hit the streets to capture the sights and sounds of Beverly Hills. Along the way we may have come across a pretty persuasive MJ impersonator…. you’ll have to watch our video to find out!

Furnishings, paintings, and so on sold at the auction varied in both value and size. In particular some of the more anticipated items such as the mirror, presumably one which Michael gazed upon on a daily basis, with a hand written a note to himself sold for $18,750. Another item was a chalkboard inscribed with a message from one of his children (thought to be Prince) went for $ 5000. The final item that was sold was a rug that belonged to the room where Michael had come to rest, had sold for a whopping $15,360, a major leap of the estimated price range $400 to $600.

All in all, tremendous take away from this adventure and like Steve says, “Innovative Times for Innovative News”.

Michael Jackson Auction by Julien’s Auctions is Drawing Near-Innovative is there!

By Ashley MacIntosh

We are in for an incredibly exciting weekend! Innovative is on a road trip, to the sun drenched land of Los Angeles, California. Innovative will be conducting a series of interviews and capturing as much video footage as humanly possible from the fans of a universally beloved icon… none other than the late Michael Jackson.  We will also have great footage of the auction too!

Why? A  highly anticipated auction will be taking place at Julien’s Auctions located Beverly Hills…just up the street from the Famous Rodeo Drive.   We think Calgary, Alberta should have a street like this too!

This isn’t just any auction, Saturday Dec 17th showcases Michael Jackson’s furnishings from his last residence he lived at.  All furnishings will be going up for bid, including his famous mirror. Until then, the suspense is quickly accumulating, this week all of MJ’s memorabilia will be open for the general public to leave behind tributes to the King of Pop and  have one last glance of his living surroundings.

The auction will be sure bring out an inordinate amount of interesting characters and interesting bidding. Be sure to stay tuned!
